Reuseable Green Bag

In 2017, Country Club Cleaners was awarded a $5000 grant from Stopwaste.org to implement green reuseable bags to cut down on the use of poly. All of our route customers were switched from nylon bags to these reuseable green garment bags.

The reusable green bag is a smart, eco-friendly alternative to single-use plastic garment covers. Customers use the bag to gather and drop off their dry cleaning, drawing the built-in cinch closure to secure the items. Once cleaned, the garments are returned on hangers, neatly protected inside the same bag, which now functions as a garment cover with a clear window for easy labeling and identification. Durable and breathable, the bag helps reduce plastic waste while keeping clothes clean and organized throughout the entire dry cleaning process.

Country Club Cleaners estimates we have cut down on almost 2,000 pounds of poly each month by utilizing the green reuseable bag that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Customers are also encouraged to return hangers to be reused or recycled.
