What is dry cleaning?

Dry cleaning uses special solvents instead of water to gently clean delicate fabrics like wool, silk, and embellished items that might shrink, fade, or become damaged in a traditional washing machine. Items still go into a large machine that resembles a washing machine however, only cleaning solvents are used and clothes are dry when they are removed. 

What is laundry?

Laundry services, on the other hand, are best for washable everyday items like shirts, bedding, and uniforms, using water and professional-grade detergents for a deep clean. Both processes often include expert pressing, spot treatment, and careful inspection to ensure your items are returned fresh, stain-free, and ready to wear. Always check care labels, and when in doubt, consult your cleaner—professional advice can save your favorite garments from premature wear or damage.

What are the different options of shirts?

Standard shirt laundry is for shirts that will fit on our pressing form that are standard cotton button up shirts.

Hand press shirts are shirts that cannot fit or cannot go on the form. They are cotton blends, western style shirts, and metal or wood button shirts that are pressed by hand.

Deluxe shirts are an upgraded service we provide that has extra finishing and attention given to collars and cuffs. Tissue paper is placed in the next of the item with a clip to hold the collar in place keeping it crisp and ready to wear.

Dry Cleaning is for shirts made of silk, rayon, and polyester for example, that are dry cleaned and then pressed by hand. 

What happens if you do not remove a stain?

Although we have the latest technology in stain removal treatments, not all stains can be removed and we do not guarantee we can. We will add a note letting you know we were unable to remove the stain.

Why does it allow me to schedule a pick up on almost any day?

Our software will allow you to schedule a pick up on any day that the driver is in your area. You are able to schedule a pick up on a delivery day and the driver will pick up but it will not be a next day turnaround. For example, in San Ramon, we pick up on Tuesday and Thursday with delivery Wednesday and Friday. If you schedule a pick up on Wednesday, the driver will pick up and items are returned on Friday. 

How long has Country Club Cleaners been in business?

Country Club Cleaners has been in business since May of 1986. What started as just a pick up and delivery service out of a garage has evolved into a business that include two retail store fronts in Danville and San Ramon, pick up and delivery service all over the East Bay and a dry cleaning production facility in Livermore. We also have our textile restoration division Brightleaf Textile Restoration based out of Stockton, CA. 

What time will you pick up or deliver my items?

In order to provide our next day or two day service, we do not provide time frames. We just ask the bag is out by 8am. You will receive a text letting you know the driver made the pick up. You will also receive a text when the delivery is made. 

Do you clean leather, suede and wedding dresses?

Yes. We have a relationship with a vendor who specializes in leather and suede cleaning and wedding dresses. Items are individually priced but we see leather and suede coats run from $85 and up. Wedding dresses can be cleaned and preserved as well. We see wedding dresses start at around $375 and up. Please note, it does take 6-8 weeks for items to be sent out, cleaned and returned.

Do you pick up on weekends?

We do not provide pick up and delivery on the weekends. Our two store fronts are open on Saturday. San Ramon: 10am-3pm and Danville: 9:00am-5:00pm. See your city/zip code under free pick up and schedule for your schedule. 

How are items delivered?

Ideally, the driver will hang up the items on your door. We do provide door hangers so please let us know if you need one. If that is not an option, we can lay over a chair or table. We would rather not lay on the mat or the ground. The drivers do not knock or ring the bell with deliveries. This keeps them moving and efficient and allows us to provide next day service.
